KATHMANDU, Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday visited her residence in Bhangal, Kathmandu, which was set on fire during the “Gen Z” protest on September 9, 2025.

The house was torched by protesters in the evening amid the movement, causing significant damage to the property. Bhandari reached the residence nearly six months after the incident to assess the situation.

Security arrangements were tightened during her visit. Authorities had earlier launched an investigation into the arson attack following the protest-related violence.
