Kathmandu,Ajaj Alam is a distinguished Nepali industrialist and community leader whose contributions have significantly shaped the industrial and social landscape of the Lumbini region.
Born on Baisakh 5 in Butwal Ward No. 1, he currently resides in Devpath, Butwal-6. With a career spanning over three decades, Alam has established a strong reputation for entrepreneurial excellence, institutional leadership, and community service.
He embarked on his professional journey in 2047 B.S., entering the industrial sector in 2053 B.S. Since then, he has been actively engaged in manufacturing, particularly in the plastic industry. As the Proprietor of Alam Plastic Industries, located in the Butwal Industrial Area, he has played a pivotal role in promoting domestic production and generating employment opportunities.
In addition to his primary enterprise, he serves as Director of several prominent companies, including United Plastic Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Megha Industries, both based in the Butwal Industrial Area. He is also associated with United Household Products in Mangalbariya, Tilottama, and Aman Plastic Industries in Paschim Ponnani, Butwal-16. His leadership across these enterprises reflects a strong commitment to innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable industrial practices.
Beyond his business endeavors, Alam has demonstrated exceptional leadership in various professional and social organizations. He currently serves as President of the Federation of Nepal Industrial Area Industries in Balaju, Kathmandu, where he actively advocates for industrial development, policy advancement, and the strengthening of the manufacturing sector. He is also the President of Gautam Buddha Community Heart Hospital in Butwal, contributing to the expansion of accessible healthcare services. Furthermore, he leads Lumbini Community Television and the Lumbini Province Industrial Federation, underscoring his dedication to regional development and information dissemination.

Alam holds the position of Central Member of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) in Kathmandu. He also serves as President of Navinatam Industrial Development Cooperative Ltd. in Butwal and is the Founding President of the Rotary Club of Central Butwal. His previous roles include President of the Rupandehi Chamber of Industries and Former President and Advisor to the Butwal Industrial Area Industry Association, highlighting his longstanding engagement in institutional leadership.
His global perspective is enriched by extensive international exposure, with visits to countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Canada, South Korea, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and India.
