POKHARA, Life in Kaski is slowly returning to normal following the recent unrest and vandalism linked to the Gen-Z movement. Government offices are preparing to resume public services after days of disruption. Cleanup operations are underway, and officials are working to restore office facilities.

District-Level Coordination

Kaski Chief District Officer Rudra Devi Sharma stated that a meeting of district-level office heads will be held today to plan the full resumption of public services. Around 80 government offices, including the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of Gandaki Province, the Provincial Assembly, District Administration Office, and District Police Office, were vandalized or set on fire during the protests.

Businesses and Transport Resume

With the lifting of curfew and prohibitory orders that had been in place for security reasons, businesses and public transport in Pokhara resumed normal operations from Saturday. Citizens are gradually returning to their daily routines as security and order are restored.

Schools to Reopen Soon

Preparations are also underway to reopen educational institutions. According to Hem Prasad Acharya, Director of the Education Division, the Executive Committee of Pokhara Metropolitan City has decided that all schools in the metropolis will reopen from September 17. Authorities are making arrangements to ensure a safe return for students and staff.
