MOSCOW, Five people were killed and eight injured in an overnight Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Rostov region, regional Governor Yury Slyusar said on Monday.Slyusar said rescuers recovered the bodies of two adults and one child from the rubble of a drone-damaged residential building. Earlier, a married couple was killed in another strike.

Falling drone fragments damaged three apartment blocks, 17 private houses, one social facility, five vehicles, a cafe and multiple storage facilities, Slyusar said.On the same day, a Ukrainian drone attack on Belgorod left 12 people injured, including two children, local authorities said.
Meanwhile, the Russian defense ministry said its air defense systems intercepted 276 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones across Russian territory overnight.

It also announced that Russian troops seized two more residential settlements in the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
