RAUTAHAT, A total of 3,851 election police personnel will be recruited in Rautahat district for the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

The District Police Office has been accepting applications since last Friday. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bishnu Pradip Basyal, 952 applicants—including 152 women—had submitted applications as of Sunday.

Of the total recruits, 3,466 will be appointed under the Nepal Police, while 385 personnel will be deployed from the Nepal Armed Police Force.
The final list of selected candidates is set to be published on January 26. Those recruited will receive service benefits for a total period of 40 days from the date of appointment.
