Kathmandu, Aniket Kapali is a compassionate social worker and dedicated animal welfare activist based in Balaju, Goldhunga, Kathmandu. Alongside managing his business profession, he has committed a significant part of his life to helping and protecting stray animals, particularly those living on the streets without care, shelter, or food. His work is driven not by recognition or reward, but by a deep sense of empathy and responsibility toward voiceless creatures who are often neglected by society.

From a young age, Aniket developed a strong emotional bond with animals. What began as a childhood affection gradually evolved into a lifelong mission. Witnessing the struggles of street animals—especially their daily fight against hunger and neglect—motivated him to take action. He strongly believes that animals, just like humans, experience pain, hunger, and emotions, yet they are unable to express their suffering in words. This realization became the driving force behind his commitment to animal service.

For the past several years, Aniket has been consistently involved in feeding and caring for stray animals in his community. Every day, he prepares fresh and warm meals and distributes them to animals living on the streets. Despite the physical effort and time required, he considers this work deeply rewarding. The happiness he sees in the animals after they receive food gives him immense satisfaction and a sense of purpose that he believes cannot be measured in material terms.

Through his experiences, Aniket has come to value the unconditional love and loyalty that animals offer. In his view, animals never forget kindness. Even a single act of care, such as feeding them once, can build a lasting bond of trust. This sincerity and purity of affection inspire him to continue his efforts despite the many challenges involved in animal welfare work.

He also raises an important reflection on society’s relationship with animals. In Nepal, dogs are worshipped and honored during Kukur Tihar, a special day within the festival of Tihar. For many, there may be just one day in a year to celebrate dogs Kukur Tihar but for him, his love for them is every single day. However, Aniket believes that compassion toward animals should not be limited to a single day of celebration. Instead, kindness, respect, and responsibility toward animals should be practiced every day.

Aniket views animal welfare not only as social service but also as a moral responsibility. He believes that as human beings, we have the duty to support those who cannot fend for themselves. His long-term aspiration is simple yet powerful—to ensure that no animal or human around him suffers from hunger or neglect.

Through his dedication and actions, Aniket Kapali continues to inspire others to develop empathy and kindness toward animals. His message to society is clear: if we cannot actively help every animal, we should at least ensure that we never harm or mistreat them. His work stands as a reminder that true compassion is measured not by words, but by consistent acts of care and humanity.
