Maya Ghar Nepal, located in Itahari, Sunsari, is a socially driven organization dedicated to the protection, rescue, and rehabilitation of women and children living in vulnerable and high-risk conditions. The organization has established itself as a reliable institution for safeguarding individuals affected by poverty, neglect, violence, and social exclusion, working with a mission to restore dignity and promote long-term well-being.
The organization provides a secure and nurturing shelter for street children, abandoned individuals, and survivors of abuse. It ensures access to essential services, including nutritious food, clothing, healthcare, and psychosocial counseling. By adopting a holistic approach to care, Maya Ghar Nepal not only addresses the immediate needs of its beneficiaries but also focuses on their emotional resilience and social reintegration.
A key priority of the organization is education and capacity building. Children under its care are enrolled in formal schooling to secure their academic development, while women and adolescents are supported through vocational and skill-based training programs designed to foster self-reliance and economic independence. These initiatives aim to equip beneficiaries with practical skills and confidence, enabling them to rebuild their lives with dignity.
Maya Ghar Nepal also emphasizes family reintegration wherever feasible, recognizing the importance of restoring safe and supportive family environments. In parallel, the organization collaborates closely with governmental bodies, non-governmental organizations, and community stakeholders to strengthen its programs and expand its outreach.
