Born and raised in Nepal, Chhetri spent the first four decades of his life in his homeland before immigrating to Canada in 1996. Rather than seeking immediate success, he began with small entrepreneurial ventures, including operating a variety store. These early experiences helped him understand the realities of immigrant life, customer relationships and the importance of financial independence.

His professional journey eventually led him into the real estate industry, where he discovered an opportunity to combine entrepreneurship with his passion for helping individuals and families achieve their dreams of homeownership.

Building a Career in Real Estate

With more than three decades of experience in the real estate sector, Chhetri developed his professional expertise through his association with established brokerages, including RE/MAX Realty One and RE/MAX Executive Realty. His experience in the industry helped him develop an understanding of the Ontario property market, client expectations, property investment and real estate business management.

Throughout his career, he has emphasized ethical practices, professional responsibility, transparent communication and long-term client relationships. His approach has focused not only on buying and selling properties but also on guiding newcomers, families and investors through important financial and lifestyle decisions.

In 2017, he took a major entrepreneurial step by establishing Everest Realty Ltd. in Mississauga, Ontario, where he serves as Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Broker of Record. Named after Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain, the company reflects his Nepali heritage and symbolizes ambition, resilience and the determination to reach greater heights.

Under his leadership, Everest Realty has developed its business around real estate brokerage and property management services across Ontario. His vision extends beyond conventional property transactions, with an emphasis on building lasting relationships and helping clients explore opportunities in residential and commercial real estate.

Expanding into a Diversified Business Portfolio

Chhetri’s entrepreneurial ambitions have extended well beyond real estate. Since 2015, he has served as CEO of Hakka Khazana Restaurants, a restaurant business combining South Asian and Chinese culinary traditions. Its operations across Southwestern Ontario, including London, Sarnia, Chatham and Windsor, reflect his interest in expanding hospitality businesses and serving multicultural communities.

In 2020, he became Chairman of Everest Aastha Farmlands and Developments, focusing on farmland investments and land development initiatives. In 2022, he established another business leadership role as Chairman of Momo Time, a Mississauga-based momo manufacturing and production venture aimed at developing opportunities in the food production sector.

He also leads Everest Khazana Group, bringing together his diverse business interests. His emerging interests include Plant Bite Protein Foods, a protein-based food concept under consideration.
