Mashiur Rahman Sumon: Born on December 12, 1980, in the culturally rich neighborhood of Lakshmibazar in Old Dhaka, Mr. Mashiur Rahman Sumon hails from a respected business-oriented family. His entry into the business world was shaped by his paternal lineage, but his personal journey reflects a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit, artistic passion, and social commitment.

During his early student life, Mr. Sumon developed a deep interest in photography, which gradually evolved into a strong passion, particularly for sports photography. While studying in college, he briefly ventured into photojournalism, contributing to local media outlets such as Dainik Samachar and Joy Parajay Dotcom. However, family obligations took precedence when his father’s health declined. As the eldest son, Mr. Sumon took on the responsibility of managing the family business.

Today, Mr. Sumon is a leading figure in Dhaka’s hospitality sector. He serves as the Managing Director of Hotel Imperial International, a reputable three-star hotel located in the bustling commercial hub of Gulistan. Under his leadership, the hotel has grown in both stature and service quality.

Beyond hotel management, Mr. Sumon has significantly contributed to the development of professional skills in the hospitality industry. Together with his younger brother, he established a Hotel Management Training Center aimed at empowering youth with hands-on culinary skills. The center offers quarterly training programs for cooks and chefs, who, upon graduation, receive accredited certificates. Many of these graduates have gone on to secure employment in prestigious star-rated hotels across Bangladesh and have even pursued successful culinary careers abroad.
Mr. Sumon is not only a businessman but also a socially conscious individual.

He has been deeply engaged in community development and social welfare. He has served two terms as President of the Jamuna Club in Sirajganj, a role through which he spearheaded numerous community initiatives. His contributions have earned him accolades from both national and international organizations. He has been honored by Amra Kuri, a national-level cultural and social organization, and has received two honorary awards from the globally recognized Lions Club International.

Today, Mr. Mashiur Rahman Sumon continues to expand his impact beyond the business world. He is a Central Committee Member of Lions Club International, the Vice-President of the Bangladesh Photojournalist Association, and an active member of several other social and professional organizations. Balancing business, art, and social service, Mr. Sumon stands out as a multifaceted personality whose work continues to inspire those around him.
