Four people were injured in a road accident in Baitadi district on Saturday.

According to District Police Office Baitadi, the injured have been identified as 42-year-old Devendra Thapa of Khaptadchhanna Rural Municipality–2, Bajhang; 40-year-old Geeta Kumari Khadka and 37-year-old Dipeshwori Hamal of the same locality; and 38-year-old Keshav Raj Joshi of Bedkot Municipality, Kanchanpur.

Police spokesperson and Inspector Suraj Singh said both vehicles involved in the accident were heading from Patan, Baitadi, toward Dhangadhi. The accident occurred while overtaking on a bend in the road.

Inspector Singh added that the vehicle, an Alto car, fell about five meters below the road following the collision. All four injured are reported to be in normal condition and are currently receiving treatment at the District Hospital Baitadi.
