In April 2025, a terror attack happened in Pahalgam, India. India blamed militants from Pakistan for the attack and responded by launching “Operation Sindoor”,a military strike on suspected terror camps. Pakistan denied the claim and said India had hit civilian areas instead.
Fighting Begins
Soon, both sides started firing at each other along the border. A big air battle took place with 125 fighter jets from both countries. Pakistan shot down 12 Indian drones, while India said its missile strikes killed 70 militants. The situation became worse as both countries moved troops closer to the border.
Nuclear Threat & Global Reaction
Things got more dangerous when Pakistan warned it could use nuclear weapons if needed. This made other countries worried, and leaders from the United Nations, the United States, and Russia asked India and Pakistan to stop fighting and find a peaceful solution.
Current Situation
Both India and Pakistan are still on high alert, and the world is hoping for peace talks to calm the situation. Without discussions, experts say the risk of another big war remains high.
