A landslide has obstructed the Darchula–Gokuleshwar road section at Terchhalek–Ranebas. According to the District Police Office, the main roadway has remained blocked since Monday morning, creating difficulties for both long- and short-distance vehicles. Continuous flow of rocks and mud has made it challenging to clear the road, even with equipment.
Chief District Officer Anil Paudel said equipment had been dispatched from Gokuleshwar, but the persistent movement of debris has hampered efforts to reopen the road.
As a result, vehicles traveling to and from the district headquarters, Khalanga, have been stuck in traffic in the affected area.
