Serving as the Chairman and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Annapurna Neurological Institute & Allied Sciences (ANIAS), Dr. Pant has dedicated more than three decades to treating complex brain and spinal disorders. His expertise spans brain tumors, movement disorders, epilepsy surgery, neuro-endoscopy, and deep brain stimulation — areas in which he has not only excelled clinically but also contributed significantly to global neurosurgical knowledge.

Dr. Pant’s influence extends beyond the operating room. He is the founder of Neuro-Foundation Nepal and the Annapurna Research Centre, and a former president of the Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons. Internationally, he has represented Nepal as the Vice President of the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and has delivered scientific lectures at prestigious conferences across the world.

With over 60 peer-reviewed research publications and presentations at more than 300 international and national forums, Dr. Pant is also a leading voice in exploring the philosophical dimensions of brain science delving into profound subjects like consciousness, death, free will, and spirituality.

In a recent personal milestone, June 2025 saw Dr. Pant undergo a delicate three-level cervical spine surgery at his own institute. The rare emotional twist his former students performed the operation was hailed as a testament to his legacy as both a healer and a mentor. Just weeks later, he returned from Taiwan after delivering a landmark lecture on “multiple lessoning,” a cutting-edge surgical approach practiced by only a few elite centers worldwide.
