Kamala Giri, originally from Paiyupata, Balewa, Baglung, is presently based in Pokhara Metropolitan City. She is recognized as a dynamic professional whose journey blends healthcare, entrepreneurship, and leadership in equal measure.

Her career has been marked by versatility and consistent achievement. She currently holds multiple leadership roles as the Managing Director of Metro Inn Tours & Travels Pvt. Ltd., the Owner of Metro Superstores, and a Director at White Coral Spa & Academy Pvt. Ltd. In her earlier career, she worked as a Senior Business Manager with National Life Insurance Company Ltd. and also dedicated more than twelve years as a Community Medicine Assistant at Padma Nursing Home, serving patients with compassion and professionalism.

These combined experiences—spanning healthcare, corporate management, and business ownership—have equipped her with strong skills in strategic leadership, organizational development, and sustainable entrepreneurship. Over the years, she has built a reputation for resilience, innovation, and a results-oriented approach in every sector she has engaged in.

Beyond her professional career, Kamala has consistently invested her energy in social organizations and leadership platforms. She is currently the President (2022–2025) of the Tourism Entrepreneur Woman Association of Nepal (TEWAN), where she has been instrumental in empowering women entrepreneurs and promoting Nepal’s tourism sector.

She also contributes as an Executive Member of the Visit Pokhara 2025 Campaign Team, playing a role in shaping Pokhara’s position as a major global tourism destination. In the past, she served as the 2nd Vice President of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents, Gandaki Province, and she is set to take on another major responsibility as the President (2025–2026) of the Rotary Club of Pokhara, Fishtail. In addition, she has served as the Chairperson of Baglung Samaj Pokhara Saving & Credit Cooperative Ltd.

where she promoted community-based savings and financial empowerment, and she continues her service as an Executive Member of the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (WEAN), Kaski. Through these roles, she has proven herself as a community leader with a clear vision for inclusive growth, empowerment, and service.

Her dedication and contributions have been widely recognized. In 2024, she was honored with the prestigious title of Best Entrepreneur Woman of the Year in the Tourism Sector, a recognition of her efforts to drive excellence in business and inspire other women entrepreneurs. She was also formally acknowledged by the Social Development & Health Ministry of Gandaki Province, further validating her commitment to both business and society.

Her exposure has not been limited to Nepal alone. Kamala has broadened her perspective through international experiences, participating in professional and cultural exchanges abroad. She has traveled to Thailand (2014), Dubai (2015), Malaysia (2016), South Korea (2016), Singapore (2016), and Bali, Indonesia (2019). More recently, she visited China in May 2024 and embarked on a combined tour of Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore in September 2024. These journeys have enriched her global outlook, expanded her professional networks, and deepened her understanding of cross-cultural business and tourism opportunities.
