Thakur’s career began in Mumbai in 1997, where he trained and worked at Sadguru Hair before returning to Nepal with an ambition to transform hairstyling into a respected and thriving profession. By 1999, he launched his first salon Hotel swoniga in thamel and, Kundalini Hair Salon in Kathmandu, planting the seeds for what would later become one of the most recognized names in Nepal’s beauty industry.

In 2005, he introduced Laxmee Hair & Beauty Studio, which has since grown into a well-known brand with outlets across the Kathmandu Valley, including Maharajgunj, Pulchowk, Koteshwor, Kalanki, and Skywalk-Kamaladi. Renowned for its top-tier services, meticulous hygiene practices, and client-focused approach, the studio offers a wide range of services from contemporary haircuts and bridal artistry to facials, grooming workshops, and a professional academy for aspiring stylists.

Continuing his entrepreneurial journey, Thakur established Laxmee Hair Herbal Pvt. Ltd. in 2016, pioneering Nepal’s first line of organic henna products. This innovative move earned both local and international recognition, strengthening his reputation as a forward-thinking leader.

Over the years, Thakur has styled and groomed celebrities, actors, media icons, and political leaders, while cultivating a loyal customer base of more than 11,000 clients, boasting an impressive 95% satisfaction rate.
