KATHMANDU, The Koshi Highway has remained obstructed for the past five days due to continuous rainfall–triggered landslides in Sankhuwasabha. Police said the road is blocked at Varun (Bhotkhola-4) and Ekua (Makalu-3) since September 21.
The Pasang Lhamu Highway linking Nepal with China via Rasuwagadhi also remains closed after the Miteri Bridge in Rasuwa was swept away in June floods and is yet to be rebuilt, police spokesperson DIG Binod Ghimire confirmed.
Meanwhile, authorities said traffic has resumed on other key routes, including the Muglin–Narayanghat section, Mid-Hill Highway, East–West Highway, Kaligandaki Corridor, and Trishuli–Mailung road. The Araniko and BP highways are currently operational.
