KATHMANDU, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the national flag carrier, has announced the cancellation of its scheduled Kathmandu–Guangzhou flight on October 19 due to internal reasons.

NAC spokesperson Subash Dangi said all affected passengers have been provided with alternative travel arrangements.

According to the Corporation, 68 tickets had been sold for the Kathmandu–Guangzhou flight on October 16, and 41 tickets for the Guangzhou–Kathmandu return flight on October 17. Similarly, 93 and 20 tickets were sold for flights scheduled on October 23 and October 24, respectively.

Refuting reports that the flight was canceled due to a low number of passengers, NAC clarified that the Guangzhou route is still new and not yet widely known among travelers. The airline stated that it is continuing promotional efforts to build awareness and boost passenger numbers.

NAC has called on the media and the public to support its initiative, noting that bookings are steadily increasing on the new international route.
