KATHMANDU, Devotees across the country are celebrating Haribodhini Ekadashi, a major Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The day marks the awakening of Lord Vishnu from his four-month monsoon rest.

Thousands visited Vishnu temples like Changu Narayan, Bishankhu Narayan, and Sesh Narayan to offer prayers and observe fasts. The festival also precedes the symbolic Tulasi Vivah (wedding of the holy basil plant), which devotees celebrate tomorrow.
